RICH DE LA ROSA

Rich De La Rosa is President of De La Rosa's Latin American Imports, Inc.. Rich as been an Allstate Insurance agent over 30 years, and is an agency owner for Allstate Insurance Company. Both businesses are located in San Jose.


Rich is in his third year as President of the Story Road Business Association. Rich was the originator of the Tamale Festival (now in it's 4th year) and has chaired the Tamale Festival Committee since it inception. As Chair for the Festival, De La Rosa's 20-year history of community volunteerism and business experience is invaluable to the event. Rich is a board member of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley. Rich also serves as the president of the board of directors at the San Jose Conservation Corps and Charter School.

Rich is a native San Josean, married with five children and enjoys sports and travel.

With over 30 years experience in the computer industry, Bob started RWS Consulting, a consulting business providing web site development, specialized application development, training and technical assistance to businesses in the Bay Area.

Bob joined the Story Road Business Association in 2004 and became involved in planning the SRBA 2005 Tamale Festival. For his involvement in 2005, Bob received “Tamale Festival Volunteer of the Year”. Bob continues to be involved in planning the 2008 Tamale Festival and is currently the Treasurer of the SRBA.

It was through the SRBA that Bob began technical training for Silicon Valley Economic Development Corporation (SVED), Technology Advisory Program (TAP) and the Women's Residential Center
